Question: You said you need to turn off Google Instant in order to use the Google Keyword Tool. How do you check to see if it’s on and how do you turn it off?
Answer: Google Instant has no real impact on SEO. It is just an incredibly annoying feature that someone at Google thought would be cool. I hate it. To turn it off, do a Google search, and then on the FAR RIGHT of the search box, you will see a little blue text, that say, ‘instant is on.’ Click on that and you can then turn it off.
Again, it doesn’t directly impact the search results. Some people feel it does change user behavior making them more likely to use ‘short tail’ searches. I think mainly it helps with the sales of aspirin, because it is so annoying.
