Question: I keep hearing reference to the term “cloud”. What is a “cloud”?
Answer: ‘Cloud’ computing refers to storing one’s data and programs on servers on the Internet. Gmail is an example of ‘cloud’ computing. I use gmail to store my email programs; I can access them from anywhere, but they do not ‘reside’ on my computer.
Compare that with Microsoft Outlook, wherein the email messages are stored on my local computer and I cannot therefore access them from anywhere.
So that’s the cloud. Does not really have an SEO impact.
