Question: What is the value to my current customers if they already use my training & assessments…so they know how to reach me? They found me through referrals & print marketing… I’m not sure what to ask my customer to find the keywords?
Answer: You have to think of your marketing in terms of two groups. One, people who ALREADY know you, and you have visited your website. For them, your goal is to BUILD RELATIONSHIPS with email marketing and social media marketing. They already know you, and as long as you show up on your company name / searches, you are in good SEO shape.
The second group are PROSPECTS. They do NOT know you; you do NOT already have a relationship with them. These are the ones you are targeting with Google. You have to figure out their keywords, and focus on those for your SEO. Remember, getting a NEW customer is much more difficult than maintaining an existing customer.
SEO is very much about attracting NEW customers, those who START at Google and (hopefully) land on your website, because you have done your SEO homework!
