Question: Do you do any classes about local?
Answer: Google Local (now renamed Google Places) is a critical item for many busineses, as are other local services such as Yelp. We teach this in our Social Media classes, as they have a heavy review element.
The key to Google Local / Places in a nutshell is 1) having your target keywords in your business name, 2) getting reviews (the more, the merrier), that also mention your keywords, and 3) linking your actual web page to your Google Places page.
Again this is discussed mainly in our Social Media module. AdWords is also an option for local search targeting.
