Question: Thank you very much… there are times when my clients are getting different results then I am and I wonder what is happening and how to best be of service to them in those moments. 🙂
Question: So logging out brings one to an “equal playing field” (for lack of a better term) for research? Does Google “remember” searches when one isn’t logged in?
Answer: Google customizes search results! A lot, and more and more. So always sign out as you are doing your searches. LOG OUT. Clear your cookies frequently. And, yes, it can optimized based on your IP.
So be aware that customization is going on.. whether you like it or not. I even go so far as to drive to Kinko’s and try searches there, as well as everyone’s house, party, office, I go to.
