Question: Earlier question was badly worded. My typepad blog is linked to my website. Does Google pick up weekly posts on both my site and blog as fresh content?
Answer: The deal with a TYPEPAD or WordPress blog is that to Google, these are DIFFERENT, websites than your primary domain. So all the link juice / pagerank issues flow to them SEPARATELY. You can, and should, cross link them. But by having TWO you are splitting your linkjuice / pagerank.
That splitting can hurt you. Not a catastrophic isssue, if for reasons of ease of use you want to maintain them separately. But a ‘best practice’ is to host your blog on your own domain, and use a software like WordPress.ORG to run it locally…
