Question: I want to attract clients from other countries such as Brazil, Mexico and Russia. I currently have PDf’s in those languages and learned that pdfs are not great. Should I have pages within my site designated to those languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Russian) or separate sites. I am guessing that I need to incorporate key words in those languages too, yes?
Question: Does having multiple domains that incorporate my key words and which point/direct to my primary site raise the ranking? For example people often search me by my name,,Dominique Isbecque, because they remember my name and might forget my business name-Image Resource Center of NY. Would having a domain of dominiqueIsbecque.com that lands on my company page increase my standing?
Answer: As for your first question, YES, write in the foreign languages and optimize on words that those foreigners will use. If you do use ADOBE PDF, put it in an HTML ‘wrapper’ and/or define the document properties correctly.
Domains are tricky. YES, having keywords in the domain will help them. But having a lot of EMPTY domains is not a very good idea. It is better to have a robust, keyword-heavy, beefy website with many pages than lots of superficial sites. That said, if there are certain keywords you really want to dominate, a few keyword-heavy domains can be a good tactic. Just don’t go overboard here!
