Answer: That’s a The simple answer is that two VERY DIFFERENT businesses should actually have SEPARATE websites, whereas one business that has closely related product lines should remain integrated.
Ultimately, it’s all about the keywords. If they keywords are related, the businesses can stay together. If not, not. This is because Google looks at the total keyword density not just for a web page but for the entire website. While you do not want to ‘overdo it,’ you do want decent density throughout the site. Therefore, like things should stick together and unlike things should be separated.
