Question: Once you define the keywords…then what?
Answer: Keywords are the foundation of successful SEO. You MUST MUST MUST know your customer keywords and have a robust keyword worksheet that prioritizes them by VALUE and VOLUME. Then, you weave these keywords into your appropriate tags (e.g. the TITLE tag) and create effective content. Take a look at GEICO.com, one of my favorite mainstream SEO sites and see how they use keywords vs. tags. (We teach this of course in our classes on keywords and tags).
