Question: What are the most effective HTML platforms?
Question: I use iWeb for my website. Is that a good platform beyond GoDaddy, etc…or should I be looking into a more effective platform?
Answer: I get this question a lot. The easy answer is that Google doesn’t care. Google looks at your HTML output in terms of SEO, and doesn’t care how you get there. So whatever platform you are using, check your SEO against the best page tag practices that I teach in our classes. If it works, it works.
If it doesn’t, you’ll have to go back to your platform and tweak the software to get that perfect SEO-friendly output. Many of the platforms can be tweaked to be 80% of the way there. But usually to do everything perfectly, you have to hand code using Dreamweaver, Coffeecup or some other HTML editor.
