Question: He just mentioned tinyurl.com. Was told not to use that one in emails because it often goes to spam filters. Have you heard of this?
Answer: Tinyurl.com and bit.ly are common URL shorteners. In terms of Google Places, I do recommend using some sort of URL shortening service, when you give these out to your customers on flyers and even emails.
I haven’t had many problems with spam filters in terms of the URL themselves being triggered, but of course we are talking about one-on-one email relationships here, or using the URL’s on paper flyers or other documents that your sales staff gives to ‘happy customers’ to encourage reviews.
