Question: Onemore: Why do you log out of Google to do all this work?
Answer: Google is moving to personalized search. Especially if you have a Google Gmail account and/or the Google toolbar installed, it seeks to be intelligent about your search patterns. It will then return ranked ‘first’ pages that you frequently click on.
This is bad for SEO because you start seeing a ‘personalized’ Google / Web and not the virgin Web that your customers see. So you should always sign out when doing your Google searches, so that you see the world as your customers see it. Otherwise, you might think your company is doing great (since you click on your company name frequently), when in fact you are doing poorly!
