Question: Does it matter that if you did not use a part search, you have to go to many/several click to get to it…but the page is high level in directory. So does clicks matter? Or just directory level
Answer: I love this question. This is on my current ‘puzzle list.’ I am not entirely sure. I used to believe, like many other SEO-rs, that the directory structure was critical. Now as I do my research and test things, I am beginning to believe that that DOES matter – shallow is better.
But, one click from the home page overrides that. So if something is one click from your home page, even it it is several directories down, Google will index and prioritize that. The one click from the home page status seems to be VERY VERY important. So my guess these days is put your important content one click from the home page.
