Question: We rent out luxury homes in Costa Rica, if we name files with a number at the end.. Does that not help us? For instance we have files like so (Manuel Antonio Villa1, Manuel Antonio Villa2, Manuel Antonio Villa3, Manuel Antonio Villa4, Etc…)
Answer: When a websites page’s filename is optimized for SEO, it will have a better chance of gaining high rankings in search results when efforts are made to optimize it. Avoid the use of special characters. Limit the characters in your filename to lowercase letters a to z, periods, underscores, hyphens and numbers 0 through 9. If you use any other characters, it could cause problems with loading the page.
Remember you don’t have to get things right the first time. Do some keyword research, choose some keywords and then test to see how high up you can get your pages to rank for certain combination and phrases.
