Question: When we look at Google keyword traffic and value, are there certain minimums we should seek for a viable keyword.
Answer: This is a hard question. The keyword tools break down at low volumes and do not provide great data.
That’s why I recommend that you brainstorm, use the Wonderwheel and related searches, poll your customers etc. Some niche businesses are low volume but high value (think attorney searches / medical malpractice attorney SF is not a high volume search, but each client is high value to the attorney).
So in these cases, use the keyword tools more to get keyword ideas and the relative standing of keywords rather than exact values.
