Question: Does Google take the location of your IP address in consideration when searching?
Answer: Yes, absolutely, and more and more so. Google is moving towards personalize search – so it knows what you are searching for and tries to ‘understand you.’ In addition, it looks at your geographic location and customizes searches for you. Try searching for ‘Pizza’ at home, at work, on vacation – you will notice different organic results, different ads, and certainly different Google Local results.
